in younger, happier days
Earlier today, I got all excited by the apparent chance to purchase a new original 5GB iPod. I’d foolishly unpackaged and used my original iPods, but now would be my chance to repent, and acquire a box I could, you know, just … stare at … for a few decades before dumping on my bewildered grandchildren.
Alas.
Sometime between when I placed the order this morning and logged in to check on it this afternoon, Apple pulled a bait and switch on me, swapping an original model for a later-generation 10GB and upping the price:
Good thing I noticed in time to cancel my order, Apple. If the order had gone through and you’d sent me, essentially, an oven door, I’d have been Angry.
Instead, I’m merely Vaguely Disappointed With The Consolation Prize Of Making Clip Art. My grandkids will get over this near-miss of a slight, and so will I.
You’re so lucky, Apple. You have no idea.
